Billy grinned. “Oh, New York,” he whispered. “We’re gonna have so much fun.”
I Hunt Killers introduced the world to Jazz, the son of history’s most infamous serial killer, Billy Dent.
In an effort to prove murder didn’t run in the family, Jazz teamed with the police in the small town of Lobo’s Nod to solve a deadly case. And now, when a determined New York City detective comes knocking on Jazz’s door asking for help, he can’t say no. The Hat-Dog Killer has the Big Apple–and its police force–running scared. So Jazz and his girlfriend, Connie, hop on a plane to the big city and get swept up in a killer’s murderous game.
You need to read this book.
I don’t care if you have other obligations and responsibilities. Drop whatever you’re doing, and pick up this book!
Well, make sure you’ve read the first one, but once you’re finished reading I Hunt Killers, THEN immediately read this one. That’s an order.
Make sure that whenever you go to read this series, that you’ve completely cleared your schedule, as you’ll devour it all in one sitting. I can guarantee it.
It’s very difficult reviewing this book without spoiling the plot, so here’s what I can tell you:
1.) The plot is twisty!
Any theories you get in your mind while reading? THROW THEM OUT. Yeah, by the time this book is over, your brain will be ready to explode from all the plot twists and turns. Barry Lyga is a freaking plot genius, if you ask me. Prep yourself for a book full of crazy! (Crazy awesomeness!)
2.) Don’t turn off the lights!
Grab your nightlight, your thunder buddy, Mr. Snuggles, and keep every light on in your house. I got soo creeped out, that at one point, I jumped at every little sound in the house.
3.) No one is safe.
That’s right. NO ONE. Not even you…sitting there…reading alone….*turns on the lights*
4.) You won’t want to put this book down, so get the audiobook too!
WHISPERSYNC IS THE WAY TO GO, MY FRIENDS! Trust me. If I had to take a break and actually move from my reading spot, I’d grab my blutooth headphones, and turn on my audible app. My audio syncs up right at the spot I left off on my Kindle. Once again, the narration was spot-on! I love this narrator’s performance. He’s pretty awesome.
5.) When you get to the end, kick yourself in the ass for not reading it sooner.
Seriously, guys. What were we thinking? This series started in 2012, and yet, I didn’t read this til now? I mean, don’t get me wrong, I’m glad I didn’t have to agonize over a long wait for the third book. But still, where have I been? *kicks self*
6.) Pre-Order Blood Of My Blood (book #3).
It’s hard to note all my favorite quotes from this book in my review, mainly because I don’t want it to spoil anything for those of you who haven’t read yet. However, I’ll leave you with one of my favorite quotes from this book:
Do yourself a favor and get this now!
