Why You’ll Fall in Love with Joshua Miles

“He’s very charming and endearing, and I loved seeing life through his artist eyes.”

These are just some of the wonderful things advanced readers of Where Sea Meets Sky has said about Josh Miles. If you’ve read Love, in English, you will already have gotten a glimpse at how awesome Josh is. From the way he supports his sister Vera in that book to the way he stands up for her (love a brother who gets in a fistfight over his sister), you know he’s one good guy. But in WSMS, you really see him step up.
Josh, first of all, for all his height and build, piercings and tattoos, he’s a dreamer. He always has been. But where we get him in WSMS, he’s in the process of trying to figure out how his dreams can come a reality – or how a dreamer can fit in a very realistic world. With dreams of being a graphic artist (mainly for a comic book), Josh is at a pivotal point in his life where he realizes that his goals are actually in his reach if he manages to take a leap of faith.
Of course that leap of faith starts with going to New Zealand. He quits his dead-end job and announces he’s going to a prestigious art school, much to the dismay of his mother, after he travels to the other side of the world, inspired by Gemma, a girl he barely knows.
Josh discovers a lot about himself in New Zealand and in some ways, gets to know himself better than he does Gemma. And as he faces each trial and tribulation as love throws him down a tumultuous path, we the reader discover different sides of him as well.
He wears his heart on his sleeve.
He’s not afraid to go after what he wants.
He tries to see the best in people – especially someone like Gemma who can be quite cold and difficult. Any other guy may have given up on her, but he saw her heart and fire underneath the icy exterior.
He loves sex. Particularly outdoors, it seems (in a vineyard, against a tree, on the beach…it’s all good).
He gets jealous but doesn’t act stupid about it.
He’s tall, dark hair, tatted and nicely built. He’s hot as fuck, to put it mildly, but isn’t an asshole.
He’s cocky in an endearing way but not an arrogant prick.
He has no problems standing up for others or punching shitdicks in the face when it calls for it.
He’s lost in some ways but confident enough in himself to make changes.
He’s not afraid to take risks. He’s courageous and brave but in a very realistic way.
He’s an extremely attentive lover.
He’s not a pushover.
He’s got many artistic talents.
He’s loyal to the bone.
A lot of people ask me who I see as Josh Miles and since I was shown a picture of Brandon Tobiasson before I started writing, I decided he would be my muse. He’s very much Josh to me (pictured). And while we’re on the subject of inspiration, I saw Gina Carano as Gemma Henare (both are fitness models and hot as hell – no skinny waifs here!).
Can’t wait for you to meet them both on March 31st!
