Book: Beware the Wild
Author: Natalie C. Parker
Publisher: HarperTeen
Expected Release Date: October 21st, 2014
It’s an oppressively hot and sticky morning in June when Sterling and her brother, Phin, have an argument that compels him to run into the town swamp — the one that strikes fear in all the residents of Sticks, Louisiana. Phin doesn’t return. Instead, a girl named Lenora May climbs out, and now Sterling is the only person in Sticks who remembers her brother ever existed.
Sterling needs to figure out what the swamp’s done with her beloved brother and how Lenora May is connected to his disappearance — and loner boy Heath Durham might be the only one who can help her.
This debut novel is full of atmosphere, twists and turns, and a swoon-worthy romance.

Oh my goodness. I cannot tell you how much I love this cover. Trees, branches, vines, and fireflies. YES. The colors pop out at you, and the typography was a nice touch. Considering this book is set in Louisiana, I think it’s safe to say the cover is the swamp described in the synopsis.
So alluring, and yet ominous at the same time.
Creepy, mysterious, and unpredictable? This sounds like it will be a book that I am gonna love.
I’ve also read that fans of the Beautiful Creatures series will love this too.
SOLD.
The Cover Reminds Me Of:
A painting I made last year. Trees, fireflies, twilight.

I don’t think I got this one from Edelweiss but I do love that cover. Harper has some of the prettiest covers. I love the painting you did!
I seriously am obsessed with this. As I usually am with most of Harper’s covers. HAHA
