This scrumptious New York Times bestseller has a whole lot of kick!
Dragons love tacos. They love chicken tacos, beef tacos, great big tacos, and teeny tiny tacos. So if you want to lure a bunch of dragons to your party, you should definitely serve tacos. Buckets and buckets of tacos. Unfortunately, where there are tacos, there is also salsa. And if a dragon accidentally eats spicy salsa . . . oh, boy. You're in red-hot trouble.
The award-winning team behind Those Darn Squirrels! has created an unforgettable, laugh-until-salsa-comes-out-of-your-nose tale of new friends and the perfect snack.
As many of you may know, my “day job” consists of being a nanny to an adorable 2-year-old, Branton (who is as book obsessed as his nanny).
Other than reading books, Brant and I love spending our day recalling and discussing our favorite picture books we’ve read.
One of our favorites just so happens to be DRAGONS LOVE TACOS!
Want to know why it’s one of our faves?
First of all, TACOS.
Second of all, DRAGONS WHO LOVE TACOS (ALMOST AS MUCH AS BRANT AND I LOVE TACOS).
Third of all, the giggles. As in, the toddler giggles that this book always brings whenever I read it to Brant.
DRAGONS LOVE TACOS is fun and carefree, with adorable illustrations that kept my little one highly engaged. (And if you’ve ever tried sitting with a 2-year-old to read a book, you’ll know how hard it is to find a story that fully grabs their *short* attention span.)
This story is about Dragons who love tacos (cause let’s face it, who doesn’t) who have a very low tolerance for all things spicy. Find out exactly what happens when our Dragon buddies accidentally ingest some jalepeño laced salsa when you read the book!
But in the meantime, check out some crafty fun Brant and I had.
And here’s a little vid featuring my beloved ginger sidekick, Branton!
HAPPY TACO TUESDAY! Brant and I celebrated with a little craft inspired by #DragonsLoveTacos, the insanely adorable picture book written by Adam Rubin, and illustrated by Daniel Salmieri! Thank you @penguinkids and @chelseafought for sending this over. Its an instant hit with the littles!! (This vid is also a sneak peek for my blog tour post tomorrow!)
